The stereo was added in the electronic update (See also Computer, TV and Printer).
The stereo is similar to the jukebox but instead of having to find and use records to play music the stereo comes with all of the records already in it. Right-clicking turns the stereo on and changes songs. To turn it off, hold Shift and right-click with an empty slot.
